The Invisible Boy

Despite Canada being one of the wealthiest countries on the planet, homelessness is a modern-day scourge in our communities, particularly among youth. The Invisible Boy is a play about homelessness in Lanark County, and presents a first-hand account of what it’s like to be young and homeless in a rural setting. Created and performed by local Lanark County youth, The Invisible Boy was presented during April of 2017 (see video below). For our Troupe Bios, please click here.

Connor Williamson:
Connor is proud to be working with the Burning Passions Theatre in their production of Listen Up!  He has appeared in the productions of: Death and Taxes: The Musical, Over the River and Through the Woods, Death of a Salesman, Under Milk Wood and The Last Deadman.  Connor was a member of the “Perth Through the Ages” Youth Troupe with the Classic Theatre Festival, appearing in the summer production of: River of Memory and A Taste of Perth.  Connor won an Award of Excellence for his writing and performance in: “The Bachelors” at the Sears Ontario Drama Festival, March 2017.  He dedicates his performances to his family for their continued enthusiasm and support as he pursues his dream of being a famous actor.

Ryan Kreissler: Hi, I’m Ryan. I’ve been acting for Burning Passions Theatre for 3 years, and all three have been amazing experiences. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, listening to music, drawing, and chatting with friends. I play trumpet in my school band, and I enjoy spending time with my cats.

Ruby Davidson: I have always enjoyed acting. Last year I was introduced to Laurel and worked with her and the other actors to write and act in Jessie’s Song. Everyone involved in the project was supportive and amazing and I made a few great friends. I’m very happy to be back doing the project this year and to hopefully raise awareness for this important issue.

Felix Evangelho: Acting has always been an escape from reality for me. I started working with Burring Passions Theatre 3 years ago, and I’ve never worked with a company with so much love and support. Listen Up Lanark! and Jessie’s song had such an impact on everyone, including us. I’m looking forward to seeing this show come to life, and how it impacts the people who see it.

James Kreissler: Good morning! I’m James. This is my first time helping out with the theatre project. I’m the tech guy who does the sounds for the play. When I’m not being held captive at school I’m playing records while murdering Bowser on my SNES. I also make funny little animations on my DSI and random contraptions out of Lego.
