Casting Announcement! The Classic Theatre Festival is thrilled to announce that playing the role of Irene Eliot in the rediscovered comic gem Affairs of State (Arts Court, Ottawa, July 7-30) will be actor, writer and opera director Dana Fradkin. Dana previously appeared with the Classic Theatre Festival as Candida in Shaw's Candida. Recent theatre credits include: The Birds and the Bees (Miracle Theatre), Hogtown (The Campbell House), The Things We Do For Love and The Servant of Two Masters (Odyssey Theatre, Prix Rideau Award best actress), clown/acrobat in Die Walkure and La Boheme (Canadian Opera Company), Tony n' Tina's Wedding (the Second City Toronto).

Dana is a co-founder of Keystone Theatre and co-creator of their three successful shows: The Belle of Winnipeg (Dora Mavor Award), The Last Man on Earth and Gold Fever (NOW magazine top ten new plays). Upcoming, Dana will be directing the fall chamber opera at The Glenn Gould School.
